| Part of the developement of the new Super Monza kit, our new piston has arrived. Although the SuperMonza is still under developement and some time off from being ready, the pistons have been made, as these are a major step forward for Lambretta owners! The pistons come in reed valve and piston ported versions, meaning you can fit these excellent pistons in Monza, TS1, Mugello, Rapido, and even the new RB kits. The pistons are the result of thousands of man hours, dyno runs, and years of development. The main problem with the Japanese / Wiseco / and forged copies is that they are a water cooled piston, converted to run in an air cooled Lambretta cylinder. The expansion rates of these water cooled pistons means you have to give them far more bore clearance to stop them nipping up. The new SuperMonza pistons are specifically designed to run in air cooled engines, with a very low expansion rate, they are super light weight and extremely strong. | |
