Guide to Cylinder Kits

This page only covers kits we supply. We have done this to help our customers decide which kit will suit their needs best, it is not to say one kit is better than the other. The facts and figures we have given are all based on the same parameters, set in the recommended way in respect of carbs, exhausts, timing etc. It is intended for a comparison guide only between these kits listed below. They are not to be used as a comparison from other kit suppliers or other dealers quotes, as of course we all use different methods to "quote our facts and figures"

When deciding on which kit is best for you, we suggest thinking about your requirements and what is more important to you. For example, if you want original looks, your kit choice will be different to if you want maximum speed and power.

In the short write up with each kit, we have suggested its ideal set up, and what it can achieve. Of course carburation, exhaust and ignition choices can have a massive factor on speed and power delivery, this is covered in a separate write up.

The Gori kits use a quality Meteor piston, the kits are all hand checked in Italy. We feel it is much better to spend a little bit more, and to use something like this then the cheap "Ebay" type kits which although cheaper, just don't have the quality or reliability. You can run this kit on standard exhausts and clubman's, standard carbs, air filters. It will take most gearboxes, we suggest 5.22 to 5.00 ratio. Ideal for general town running about.

We suggest Plonk this on top of your standard engine, jet it to suit a TV175 and stick a clubman on it. Wont break speed limits, but will be reliable and keep up with traffic.

You can run this kit through the air box, but it would need to be the larger neck one say from a TV175 / GP200 etc. Exhausts; it would be beneficial to run a clubman type exhaust. As it revs a bit more than standard, electronic would also be advisable. Ideal for general all round use, town and faster roads.
