Lambretta GP Models

Our SIL GP models can be tailored to meet your needs. From a standard machine with 200cc engine to tuned and personalised scooters, we carefully and individually tailor the scooter to meet your needs. All our SIL supplied GP models come painted it standard Innocenti colour schemes of White, Turquoise, Red or Yellow Ochre. Of course optional colour schemes can be chosen.
So why should I choose a GP from Cambridge Lambretta? Well this is true, there are a 101 back street shops restoring scooters in India, quality can be very hit and miss, so all of our scooters are supplied by one carefully chosen supplier who we have worked with for many years. We believe in giving you the same quality as we always do with all our scooters, and parts.
The scooters are built using 100% new parts, prepped and painted using DuPont paint to the highest standards. The scooter is then shipped to us in kit form, and we carry out the final fit, preparation, and build. All controls, wheels, brakes, tyres are assembled by us to our standards, including EU supplied and marked Michelin tyres. The scooter is then given a full pre delivery inspection, MOT, and road test / dyno where applicable. All our engine packs, options and upgrades are carried out by us and engine packs involve a complete strip down and rebuild, replacing all parts we are not happy to use. Of course machines can be supplied "as is" for those of you wishing to carry out your own upgrades and customisation.
So whilst we agree there are many sources for a GP, there is only one CLW GP.
The basic GP comes complete and running with the factory standard GP200 engine. The scooter is checked over and inspected for basic running and operation in our workshops. No documentation is provided (you need to register it yourself in other words), no warrenty, non EEC marked tyres etc. We supply machines in this manner for those of you who may which to use different engine options, or prepare the machine to different standards or specifications. Whilst the standard supplied engine could give you many trouble free miles, we do however only warrenty engines when supplied with one of our engine packs, whereby the engine is fully rebuilt. The scooter is fully serviced and checked over in our workshops, tyres and tubes are changed to UK supplied and specification items. You can choose from Michelin S1 race type tyres S83 classic tread pattern, or intermediate SM100 patterns. Continental, Dunlop and other makes are available for additional costs. The machine is then given a dating certificate via the Lambretta Club of Great Britain informing us of the year of manufacture. We then MOT and register the scooter for UK roads. Engine pack A includes a complete strip and rebuild of the SIL factory engine, replacing the components we would not be happy to use. A new GP Italian road race crank shaft is used with high load bearings. The rebuild uses all new Italian Rolf oil seals, and gaskets. Finally we test and check the SIL electronic ignition and then set the timing acuratly by use of strobe light gun for accuracy. Back to order form
The Mugello 200cc engine pack comprises of a total strip and rebuild of the factory SIL 200 engine supplied. We use an Italian road / race crank shaft, high load bearings, and one of our 5 plate road race clutch set ups, competition top and bottom chain tensioners, all put back together using Rolf oil seals, and new gaskets all round. The excellent Mugello alloy cylinder kit is then used to give good modern reliable speed. Back to order form
Pushing the performance stakes a little higher uses the Mugello 225cc cylinder. This engine pack comprises of a total strip and rebuild of the factory SIL engine. We use an Italian road / race crank shaft with high load bearings, one of our 5 plate road race clutch set ups, competition top and bottom chain tensioners, all put back together using Rolf oil seals, and new gaskets all round. The excellent Mugello alloy cylinder kit is then used to give better modern reliable speed. Back to order form
Giving the best all round performance sees this option for the Monza reed valve induction 225cc cylinder. This engine pack comprises of a total strip and rebuild of the factory SIL engine. We use an Italian road / race crank shaft with high load bearings, one of our 5 plate road race clutch set ups, competition top and bottom chain tensioners, all put back together using Rolf oil seals, and new gaskets all round. The excellent Monza alloy cylinder kit comes complete with inlet manifold, we complete this engine pack with a choice of 28 or 30mm Dell'Orto carburettor. Back to order form
A Dell'Orto PHBH carburettor is fitted, with the matching manifold, this is jetted and set up to suit running in of the scooter. The kit includes all parts including the throttle cable needed, and all labour charges. Back to order form
Ancillotti exhaust is a top quality performance exhaust which retaines the original looks. The U bend is made from Stainless steel, the exhaust body finished in Sliver.nbsp; Back to order form
The Addition of a JL3 road pipe will improve performance considerably, the JL road version is a great expansion for providing good low down useable power, ideal for touring, rallies or just cruising around. Back to order form
The JL 4 race expansion pipe achieves the best possible power output for any engine, the power and speed is made high up the rev range. This gives the scooter great sporty characteristic for racing around the roads (at legal speeds of course!) Back to order form
The standard Lambretta fuel tank holds 7.9 litres of fuel from dry. Our larger long range tank gives a further one third capacity with just under 12 litres. The cost of this option includes the tank, longer straps, fitting and a remote air filter. The existing air intake box and system will be removed from the scooter to fit this set up, hence the remote air filter system, which actually aids performance! An allowance of trade in is given on the original tank and air box against the price of this pack, how ever should you wish to retain the original parts, this can be requested at additional costs. Our famous fast flow tap with the warning light built into the speedo. When you hit reserve; the fuel doesnt stop flowing like the normal set up, and your engine never runs dry, the light simply comes on to let you know you need to fill up! Back to order form
Italian made original looking disc brake, complete with the fork links needed to fit it. Back to order form
Hydraulic disc brake, painted to match scooters colour scheme, and fitted using a hydraulic master cylinder on the throttle side housing. This does require headset to have a hole drilled for the hyraulic hose. Back to order form
A rear shock made by the UK suspension specialists Hagon, adjustable for pre load. Great upgrade, which comes complete with a chrome spring. Back to order form
